The High Court, Court of Appeal, Commercial Court and the Tšifa-Li-Mali High Court buildings will not be operating following the power disconnection by Lesotho Electricity Company (LEC).

High Court Registrar Advocate Mathato Sekoai in a notice said the disconnection of the judiciary’s power is due to outstanding debt to the state-owned power company, LEC.

She added that the operations of the mentioned courts will be on hold until the power has been reconnected.

KDNews attempts to get finer details from the LEC were fruitless as it was referred to Public Relations Manager Makhetha Motsoari who was unavailable until publication.
