An unidentified 28-year-old man from Thaba-Tseka had his skull crushed and brains scattered after a grisly fight with one Retselisitsoe Mathetse aged 23 broke out.

The deceased and Mathetse were on August 26 at around 8 pm drinking a homemade alcoholic brew when the deceased drank Mathetse’s beer sparking a fight that led to his demise.

After drinking the beer, the deceased and Mathetse exchanged words over the incident leading to the two men stepping outside the shebeen for a fight.

Police reported that it is this altercation outside the shebeen that ended with the deceased’s being beaten by the suspect to death with his lifeless body found by police on scene with skull crushed and brains scattered.

Mathetse, identified as a man form Mantsonyane Ha khohlopo has since appeared in the Magistrate court in Thaba-Tseka on September 1 charged with the murder of the deceased 28-year-old man from the same village.

Mathetse is expected to appear in court again on September 8.

 

Thaba-Tseka man charged for raping 17-year-old daughter

A 37-year-old Thaba-Tseka man appeared in court on September 4 accused of raping his 17-year-old daughter.

The man is awaiting trial in custody and is expected to appear in court again on September 16.

According to police reports, the man started sexually abusing his daughter from March 2019 until August 27 when the mother of the victim found the man red-handed raping the daughter.

 

QACHA’S NEK teen in child marriage

A 13-year-old teenager found herself forced into a child marriage when she bumped into her abductor aged 26 on August 23.

Now, police are in search for the suspected man aged 26 who facing charged of statutory rape and illegal marriage to a 13-year-old girl.

According to police reports, on August 23, the girl bumped into the suspect who forcefully took her to his home to allegedly marry her.

The report adds that he raped her from August 23-26.

After the suspect’s father informed the victim’s mother about the incident the mother went to fetch her daughter and reported the matter to the police.

 

Teenager slapped with 5-year imprisonment for illegal gun possession

Seabata Ralienyane aged 18 from Phomolong Thaba-Tseka appeared in the Mafeteng magistrate court on September 4 accused of owning an illegal gun and was found guilty.

Ralienyane was given five years imprisonment or pay M5000 fine which he failed to pay and ended being sent to prison.

Ralienyane was found with a 303 pistol whose numbers were erased while visiting Thabana-Morena.

The accused was reportedly walked around with his pistol unconcealed and ended being reported to police by people who notice the firearm.
