Five Elite league clubs received new kit sponsorship

Five elite league football clubs received new football kits that also include replicas jersey from Metropolitan Lesotho.
Mamello Phomane, Metropolitan Lesotho’s Managing Director told the reporters that the event was just a formal hand over which was delayed due to the COVID-19.
She stated that the actual plan was to hand over the kits sometime in February 2020 but due to COVID-19 the hand over had to be delayed.
She said metropolitan has been sponsoring football clubs in the country for a long time and it will continue to do so as long as their business is still operational.
“The only way we do this is because Basotho invest their money with us. It is through the support of Basotho that we are able to give back to the community,” she said.
Phomane said they hope this will motivate the teams and they hope they will be more competitive in their premier league games in the coming football season.
Teams that received their new kit are Liphakoe football club from Quthing, Lifofone football club from Botha-Bothe, Lijabatho football club from Morija, Sefotha-Fotha football club from ha Mabote and Swallows from Mazenod.
Each team received a full set of home jersey as well as the replicas that worth M100 000.
In addition Basutuland Ink Director, Bokang Kheekhe said he is very grateful that Metropolitan Lesotho partnered with them in sponsoring these five teams.
He also said their aim as Basutuland ink is to support local sports and they are keen to see the growth of sports in the country.
Kheekhe said their plan to sponsor these teams started towards the end of 2019 and the kit was ready to be launched on February 2020 but due to COVID-19, everything was delayed.
He said Basutuland ink has sponsored these teams with M13 000 worth away kit.
